文献综述

Feminism is one of the most active organizations in the west today.The development of feminism has gone through three stages.As a woman writer in the beginning stage of feminism,Virginia Woolf has been the focus of people’s attention for her feminist thoughts.

In the west,it is in the last thirty years of the 20th Century that the research on Virginia Woolf  became popular. Different critic groups,including psycho-biography,Marxist,modernist,feminist,philosophy analysis theorists,have studied Woolf and her works from different perspectives and had brilliant achievements.

Chinese feminist criticism began with introducition and translation of western feminist theory,and changed to application of the theory in 1980.And since 1990s,feminism becomes flourish in China. Many theses have been published as well as some monographs. Chinese scholars raise a lot of detailed personal ideas on the feminine writing consciousness of Woolf.

     Xiang Wan from Hunan Normal University believe that，as a founder and poineer，Woolf inherited and developed the traditional feminist poetics，while established the traditional framework and provided the discourse pattern for the later feminist literary creation ，which had a significant effect on later generation of feminist thought and feminist poetics theory.

Tang Zhifeng from Central South University think that To the Lighthouse is Wool’s masterpiece that symbolizes her maturity in feminist thoughts.By creating these characters，Woolf discloses and analyzes the present opposite situation between men and women determined by logo-centrism in the traditional patriarchal society. Towards this abnormal situation，she formulates her solving plan and gives ger unique point of view as well as practice mode about women’s writing and words.

Mei Xiaoyun from Central China Normal University draw a conclusion that In the novel ，Woolf uses the technique of stream of consciousness.The author of the thesis believes that there is a close connection between.Woolf’s feminist thought and her stream of consciousness technique.The thesis makes a tentative exploration of the connection.

Woolf has been regarded as the mother of the contemporary debate on feminism,who has attributed in raising many issues that her followers have focus on. As a feminist,Woolf  has influenced many feminist followers.French feminist Helene Cixous criticizes Woolf’s androgynous theory and puts forword another type of androgyny.More and more feminist dedicate themselves to establish and develop a new theoretical style.Among them,Helene Cixous is a representive one.

Woolf is a great feminist and writer.She puts herself in the text,into the world and into history by her own movement,the correlative research has attracted more and more attention.
